Hope for Change
I don’t know about you but… My “HOPE AND CHANGE” meter is pegged.
Here is a deal
Imagine that:
Your spouse just got laid off their job and you are going over your bills and you both agree you need to cut up your credit card because you are way over your heads and can’t afford it now.
But, before you agree to cut it up… you just need a new pool table… and matching shoes… and a new plasma TV… and a new (fill in the blank).
Sound familiar?
Government shut down?
Here is how the government will shut down:
- House Republicans will pushed a budget forward ($1-$100 billion in cuts).
- Senate Democrats will not push it forward to the executive branch (for immediate veto).
- Government shuts down.
Budget cuts
So, here we go…
The Republicans have taken over the House. And many good plans have been voted on and approved!
But… when we have well over a 1.3 TTTTTRILLION dollar deficit, quarreling over 21 billion dollars in cuts has got to be the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard of. Did the Democrats (Libtards) quarrel over billions and billions in spending sprees? No.
We (Americans) need someone to represent OUR interests!
Bigger Government is the answer.
What was the question?
The state of the union speech was exactly what I had expected. Hot air and our president looking to “invest” (spend) money in this program and that program. Expand government into our lives.
The idea of MORE government is ridiculous to me. What can the Government do right?
The more the government steps in to help the worse things get!
Times sure have changed
The following is from a Democrat. Sounds much more like the Conservatives of present day, doesn’t it?
A bill will be presented to the Congress for action next year. It will include an across-the-board, top-to-bottom cut in both corporate and personal income taxes. It will include long-needed tax reform that logic and equity demand … The billions of dollars this bill will place in the hands of the consumer and our businessmen will have both immediate and permanent benefits to our economy. Every dollar released from taxation that is spent or invested will help create a new job and a new salary. And these new jobs and new salaries can create other jobs and other salaries and more customers and more growth for an expanding American economy.”
– John F. Kennedy, Aug. 13, 1962, radio and television report on the state of the national economy
